2 Birds Coffee + Café is a locally owned, casual stop for coffee aficionados and anyone interested in a simple, yet refined bite to eat. Our coffee-forward café serves classic espresso drinks, breakfast & lunch. Homemade pastries and fried PB&J sandwiches top the menu for those looking for a delectable treat. A selection of breakfast toasts (think sourdough, avocado, olive oil and sea salt) along with sandwiches and grain bowls round out the menu for the healthy-ish visitor. And, if you’re on vacation, don’t worry… craft beer and wine flow freely!
We journeyed here as Louisiana natives turned Washington DC city dwellers looking for a slower pace and a backyard to watch our children play. Along our journey, we’ve developed a passion for really good food—nothing fancy or complicated, just good, quality ingredients put together with love to create something memorable. In DC, our favorite restaurant served up the most delicious dishes we’ve ever tasted, not because they were whipped up with foams or topped with caviar, but because each dish was sprinkled with delicate, flaky sea salt or finished off with a few drops of REALLY good olive oil. We learned that the little things make a great dish.
